Emaar & Al Sahel Creek Palace
This two-minute video is a labor of love, crafted with precision to draw viewers into a world of dreamy cinematic beauty, even if construction isn’t their usual interest.
As the filmmaker, I faced the intense challenge of shooting under the harsh Dubai sun, where every moment counted. The extreme heat demanded that I work quickly and efficiently, making each shot count to avoid prolonged exposure.
The sun-drenched skies of Dubai posed another challenge, as they didn’t naturally lend themselves to the cinematic aesthetic I envisioned. To overcome this, I collaborated with a professional 3D artist to replace the skies, directing the transformation to ensure they matched the film’s surreal, immersive quality.
In the final phase, I chose to innovate in sound design. Instead of relying on traditional epic music and a strong male voice to complement the construction theme, I opted for a more subtle, dreamy approach. The soundscape was carefully designed to influence the subconscious, with the client’s name woven into the voiceover, repeating quietly beneath the surface. This approach not only enhances the dreamlike atmosphere but also leaves a lasting impression on the viewer.
This video represents a meticulous process of overcoming environmental challenges and pushing creative boundaries, resulting in a captivating visual and auditory experience.
