The story began when I aimed to create a unique video featuring a car but with a budget of 0$.
I wrote the script and started planning my shot list to match it. With no budget, it became challenging to choose everything just the way I wanted. Nonetheless, I know I have to get it done.
For the modeling, I needed someone to shoot from 4 am to 5 pm, without any remuneration. It was not easy to find someone willing to do that, but fortunately, my friend found a friend of a friend who agreed to help me out.
I had planned to shoot at a particular location, but surprisingly, I was not allowed to do so. This forced me to improvise while still trying hard to stick to the story.
At the end of the day, I managed to capture some decent shots.
Then to the post-production phase, which took me over 30 hours of editing, sound designing, and color grading to complete.
The last phase was the voice-over, which I had to do with zero money. I decided to record the voice-over myself and alter my tone of voice to achieve that amazing deep voice-over effect.
Of course, the voice-over quality was not as good as what a professional would deliver, but given the circumstances, I was grateful for what I had.
Finally, the video could have been much better if I had the money, but I still love the final result, and I hope you do too.
I hope you enjoy the video as we did creating it.
